Romney Speaks.  Read it – sigh heavily – move on.

    “Heavy sigh plus deep-seated concern”

My heart is really hoping for an early economic turnaround, but my head is just sending up red flag after red flag.

I’m reminded of the oft-stated line by someone laying down a winning hand in a game of poker, read ‘em and weep.

My sighs got even heavier this a.m. when I read this article by Noonan.

For of all sad words of tongue or pen, The saddest are these: “It might have been!”

Not that Mitt or anyone could easily fix what’s ailing the country right now, but how melancholy it is to imagine how much better things might be with a competent grown-up as our leader. Sadly, God has given the people the government they asked for.

This was not a randomly dealt hand; the people themselves stacked this deck. Our best bet is a really bad case of buyer’s regret and an enthusiastic drum beat for Romney in 2012.

Right now all I see is chaos. I’m off to purchase powdered peanut butter for our food storage. I’m depending on God, guns, gold, and oh yeah, a garden. I don’t see the better part of the “people” thinking their way out of this mess.
