Having said that, the other issue of whether Romney will add to the Republican ticket, you repeat talking points by those opposed to Romney, the press, the democrats, the ones who oppose his religion and wholly ignore what makes Romney a great leader.

He is more than conservative enough for the likes of Hannity, Limbaugh, Rove, Coulter, Ingraham, Tancredo, Jones, Arpaio, etc, etc, etc. These are real conservatives. I AM a real conservative and he is conservative enough for all of us. Romney is every bit as conservative as any other being considered.

He inspired many at CPAC. He is foremostly family oriented, a loving husband, great father and grandfather. He serves in his community and is unselfish with his means and time. He will not accept salary and has served the public without looking to it for a career or to get gain. He is the consummate executive who can lead the largest enterprise and leave it better off than when he first came.

He wants to win the war on Islamic Jihad with a comprehensive approach involving all Islamic nations and increasing our defense. He likes keeping taxes low, growing jobs, shrinking the trade deficit, keeping heathcare in the private sector. He learns from his mistakes, he has a passion for data and figuring out the causes of success and failure. He is unafraid of confronting wrong and using his veto authority. He has a proven track record of keeping his campaign promises. He is a loyal Republican and a faithful conservative to all three segments in our party, economic, social, and national security.

Romney helps the ticket with those who fear for their jobs, or want energy independence, or want to protect traditional marriage, strengthen families and keep a culture of life. He like McCain has had to work with liberals and get them to cooperate on whats right for America. He helps the ticket with those who want someone who is willing to make the hard decisions and cut spending and veto an out of control congress. He is a wonderful role model and negotiator. He helps with parents who want their children to have a president they can look up to and emulate. He is ready in every way to assume office if something happens to the President. He helps with those who worry about McCain’s age.

I could go on but this reply is far too long for a venue such as this. How is it you had hard time seeing any of this?

I can think of only one way that he might hurt the ticket and that is his lack of appeal to the left and the religious bigots. But even they can recognize competence and leadership when they see it. And they see it in Romney. Open your eyes watchman…you have missed a lot.

It’s hard to identify a single area in which Romney helps the ticket. You can argue Michigan, but given the demographics of Detroit, it’s probably a pipe dream to think that state’s in serious contention anyhow. Other than that, where does Romney help? There are lots of places where he hurts though and the biggest and most important rule of VP candidates is primum non nocere (wouldn’t Obama be proud that I know another language?).
