John: I certainly hope that the well meaning, but uneducated, Christians that have tried to place the Latter Day Saints outside of Christianity, will see what they are doing to the faith they hold so dear. They are denying the very essence of what it means to be a follower of Christ by their intolerance. They show the same degree of misunderstanding of the message, that Christ brought, as the religious leaders of His day did.

When Christ taught the people only a few believed and followed him. The Spirit of Truth testified and those that were spiritually in tune followed the Lord. There was no coercion or force involved.

Mitt Romney has a testimony of the gospel that he relies upon to lead him. It is his and it is unique to him, as mine is to me. It comes from living your life by guiding principles. This means that each of us are at different levels of growth in our march toward eternal life.

This sets up an interesting set of circumstances. Our Constitution forbids a test on religion, by the government, but each of us, individually, have to decide where we stand on church membership and doctrines. Faith issues that influence the direction of our nation.

Mormons do not ascribe to the Triune God, given to us by the Council of Nicene. If others can understand what it is talking about and accept it as defining God, than they should follow it. Mormons will go it alone and follow the teaching that have brought the church forward to this day. We welcome all who are seeking truth, instead of confusion.

I support Gov. Romney because I trust him to be honest in ALL that he does. If he is not successful in his quest, so be it. The people of this nation need to come to know there is a difference in the candidates and then decide for themselves, who should lead.
