Form without substance.  Unless the nation is in one of those moods where it takes nothing seriously, Obama is running for, at best, Veep.  Pretty face, politically correct, and . . . and . . . and . . . what?

Speaking of pipe dreams.

This is just silly, but I sure wish the Republicans were involved.  It's too easy to get to Nevada from here.

Brothers Judd extensively quote E.J. Dionne on Huckabee and conclude:

He'd have no shot against McCain in NH but can do surprisingly well in IA and make a good showing in SC and then it's just a matter of whether the field is down to two. As the only alternative to Maverick he might win a couple states late. At any rate, he's really running for Secretary of HHS.

Now given the apparently dead rumors of Huckabee going for work for Romney, is it possible he is working for McCain?  Could he be running to drain votes from Romney in hopes of getting McCain nominated in exchange for that HHS slot?  Given that Jon Huntsman, Jr., Governor of Utah has already declared for McCain, also likely in search of a job in a McCain administration, I wouldn't put it past 'em.

HAVE I TOLD YOU HOW MUCH I LIKE ANN ROMNEY?  In my experience, wives of big time politicos are without middle ground, they are either just great people, or complete shrews.  This is one of those "wife of the candidate" puff pieces that are inevitable in campaigns.  But I have to tell you it's great to know it's not political cover, it's reality.  Ann Romney is one of those just-great-people-wives.

A day without news on the religious issue is a wonderful day indeed.  Of course, there is always junk brewing in the deep tail of the blogosphere, but it's not worth the effort.
