Today’s Reading List
David Yepsen, The Des Moines Register, On Romney on Iowa on the Christian stump - Powerline comments. It’s the “but privately” part that gets that gets under your skin - are we evangelical Christians closet bigots? Having been born in the deep south in the ’50’s and visiting constantly for the rest of my life, I’ve heard public accceptance and private prejudice before - don’t like it much.
More polling data - oh please know. I don;t know who I want to endorse and vote for yet, but I know it’s not McCain.
Sabato at RCP on the cultrue of corruption. Can you think of a better answer to corruption charges than a Donny Osmond associated, squeaky clean Mormon?
Pandering?…Commonsense?…or maybe a joke to deflect an idiot rumor?
A Presbyterian blogger on using power to do good. Important stuff to think about for any person of faith concerned about politics.
